After a great start, the Spanish driver gets delayed due to problems with the brakes
Carlos Sainz finishes sixth in his debut in the World Series races held in Monaco

Carlos Sainz achieved a final sixth position in the World Series races that were held this morning in the famous Monaco Circuit. Carlos took the fifth position at the starting grid and he managed an excellent start that allowed him to climb one position, reaching the fourth place. However, after the 10th lap, a problem with the brakes caused him to make a couple of small mistakes that cost him two positions. From that moment on he had to fight with a long and floppy brake pedal, but despite that, he kept the sixth place in the end.

The result for the Red Bull driver couldn't be better, because this was the first time that Carlos participated in this category and he did so in the complicated Monaco Circuit.

Carlos Sainz: "We have to be very happy about how the weekend went generally, both for the team and for myself. I think this is a very good result, although it is also true that when you are so close to the pole position and to a fourth place, you wish you could know what could have happened. However, I couldn't prevent the problem with the brakes; there was nothing I could have done, other than changing the way of braking and getting used to it. In any case, the feelings were very good. The aim was to learn and to know the Monaco Circuit, and I achieved both, I enjoyed myself and I leave very happy."
