DAMS is the team where Carlos Sainz Jr. will take part in the World Series during 2014.

DAMS is a professional racing team founded in 1988 by Jean-Paul Driot and René Arnoux. Based in Ruaudin, just a few kilometres from the legendary Le Mans Circuit, DAMS mentors and develops young racers to the demanding standards required by modern day Formula One. This has proven tremendously successful and, to date, 27 DAMS drivers have graduated to the pinnacle of motorsport world.

The team currently competes in the high-profile GP2 Series (previously F3000) and Formula Renault 3.5 Series single-seater championships. Over 25 years, the French team has accumulated a great deal of experience and an impressive list of results: 3 International F3000 titles, 1 Formula Renault V6 title, 2 A1GP World Champion titles, 1 GP2 Series Teams Champion, 2 GP2 Series Drivers titles with Romain Grosjean and Davide Valsecchi. In 2013, DAMS won the Drivers and the Teams Championships in Formula Renault 3.5 with Kevin Magnussen. DAMS also boats a vast amount of experience in endurance racing. It has successfully contested countless races, including the world famous Le Mans 24 Hours, while well-known manufacturers such as Panoz and Cadillac have placed their faith in DAMS’ technical expertise to ensure that their cars are run efficiently. In short, DAMS is recognised as one of the most successful and prestigious racing teams in Europe.

Recent Results

The DAMS team takes part in the World Series since year 2012, and got his drivers' tittle in 2013 with Kevin Magnussen. Furthermore, last year achieved five wins, 13 podiums and 8 pole position in 17 races in the World Series.
